A Bifocal Lens Alternative

Even with the numerous bifocal contact lenses available, they are not for everyone. A possible alternative is monovision, in which two different lenses are used - one for each eye. The dominant eye is typically fitted with the distance correction lens, while the other eye is fitted with the near correction lens. While it may seem odd to be wearing two different contact lenses, most people actually adapt to it quite easily.
